AI knowledge assistants
We build assistants that answer your staff's questions from your own documents and systems, showing where each answer came from and respecting who is allowed to see what.
The short answer
An AI knowledge assistant lets staff ask questions in plain language and answers from your own documents, policies and business systems, with the source shown for every answer. It suits organisations where knowledge is scattered across files and a few experienced people. BookMyTechies builds it on your content, with access rules that match your own.
The answer exists, but nobody can find it
Policies, procedures, contracts, product details and past decisions are spread across shared drives, email and systems. Staff spend time searching, or ask the same few colleagues, who are interrupted all day.
New employees take months to learn where things are.
How the work is usually done today
- An employee has a question
- They search folders and old emails
- They ask a colleague who might know
- The colleague stops work to answer
- The answer is not recorded for next time
What AI changes
The assistant searches everything at once and answers in seconds, from your content only.
Answers in plain language
Staff ask as they would ask a colleague and receive a direct answer.
Shows its sources
Each answer links to the document or record it came from.
Respects permissions
People see only answers drawn from content they are allowed to access.
Stays current
New and changed documents are picked up automatically.
How the automation works
Behind each answer is this sequence.
Ask
An employee types a question in chat, a portal or a tool they already use.
Handled byPersonSearch
The assistant finds the relevant passages in your content.
Handled byAIAnswer
It writes an answer from those passages only.
Handled byAICite
The sources are shown beside the answer.
Handled byAIImprove
Unanswered questions are reviewed to fill gaps in your documentation.

Where people stay in control
The assistant informs decisions. It does not make them.
- Every answer shows its source, so it can be verified
- It says when it cannot find an answer instead of guessing
- Access follows your existing permissions
- Content owners decide what the assistant may use
Security and governance
- The AI works only with the data and systems it has been given access to
- Every automated action is logged with what was done, when and why
- Confidential data is handled under your access rules, and we agree where it is processed before work starts

What you can expect
Results depend on your volumes and how clean your data is, so we measure a baseline first and report against it. We do not quote figures before we have seen the process.
- Less time spent searching
- Fewer interruptions for experienced staff
- Faster onboarding for new employees
- Gaps in documentation made visible
Common questions
Is our information used to train public AI models?
We configure the service so that your content is used only to answer your staff's questions. We agree the provider and its data terms with you before starting.
What content can it use?
Documents in common formats, intranet pages and, where useful, data from systems such as your CRM or ERP.
How do you stop it making things up?
It is restricted to answering from retrieved content and shows its sources. We test it on real questions, including ones it should decline.
Can customers use it too?
Yes, as a separate assistant limited to public content. See customer support automation.
